  • Which Mobile Banking app will I be able to use with BT?

    The Mobile and Internet Banking platform that you have had access to until now will operate until February 28, 2025 at 12:00 noon. After this date, you will be able to access the OTP Bank statement generation application, but will no longer be able to use it to make transactions until June 30, 2025.

    From March 3, 2025, you'll be able to use the BT Pay app for everyday banking. Once you've activated your card, you can add it to the app and carry out transactions: pay with your phone, transfer money using the phone number of BT customers who have BT Pay, withdraw cash from BT ATMs with your phone, view card details and approve payments online.

    The Internet Banking platform that you have had access to until now will operate until February 28, 2025, 12.00. 

    After this date, you will still be able to access the OTP Bank statement generation application, but you will not be able to use it to make transactions until June 30, 2025. Starting March 3, 2025, your Internet Banking service will be replaced by the Internet Banking service "Neo BT", the Internet Banking application of Banca Transilvania.Information about your new application, as well as the full list of fees and charges, can be obtained by visiting https://neo.btrl.ro/.

    To log in to the "Neo BT" Internet Banking service, you need to access the Banca Transilvania website, Internet Banking section, then the "Neo BT" Internet Banking service. To log in, you will use your login ID (OTPdirekt user), and the temporary password that you will receive by SMS after March 3, 2024 on the phone number used at OTP Bank, password that needs to be updated when you log in for the first time.

  • How do I activate my BT card as a former OTP customer?

    You can activate the card at any BT ATM by following these simple steps:

    • Insert your card in the ATM; 
    • Enter the activation code received by SMS;

  • How will savings accounts and deposits be taken over from OTP?

    All savings accounts and term deposits (including collateral deposits) existing as of February 28, 2025 will be taken over by Banca Transilvania, regardless of their type and characteristics in OTP Bank Romania. Deposit term, interest rate, automatic renewal option and/or capitalization will be taken over, with the following mentions:

    • The interest calculation formula applied in BT refers to 360 days;
    • The interest on term deposits held with OTP Bank (in force on the date the term deposit is taken) will also apply in BT until the first automatic maturity/extension when it will be updated in accordance with the interest rates charged by BT on the day of the automatic maturity/extension, published in BT's units and on BT's website on the day of the automatic maturity/extension;
    • In the event of a request to terminate the deposit before the expiry of the term for which it was set up, BT calculates the demand interest. At this point the spot interest calculated by BT is 0 (zero);
    • Regardless of when the decision is taken to close the deposit (including on the date of maturity/automatic extension) or to withdraw cash, the fee for the cash withdrawal is the standard fee - set out on the date of the transaction in the Fees and Charges document published on the BT website and displayed in BT branches.
  • Will the early repayment fee be 0 (ZERO) on all loans migrated from OTP Bank?

    Yes, partial and full early repayments for loans migrated from OTP Bank will not be charged.
