Good to know

For residential property purchased on credit or with which we guarantee loans, it is compulsory to take out voluntary home insurance and a disaster insurance policy (PAD).

How does it work?

Before you take out such insurance, you need to know a few more important things:

The optional policy covers property damage caused by events that damage your home
In addition, the optional policy covers: liability and property insurance
The sum insured is the actual appraised value of the insured property
The sum insured, the insurance premium and the indemnity are fixed in the currency of the credit granted
The PAD policy covers risks caused by natural phenomena such as earthquakes, landslides or floods

Costs

The insurance premium for the optional policy is calculated by applying 0.12% to the market value of the property
Optional insurance can be paid monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annually, in the currency of the credit
The cost of the PAD policy is 130 Lei valid for one year, with full payment made when the policy is issued.

How do you get insurance?

Home loan insurance is available exclusively at BT branches.

You can only take out this type of insurance (offered in conjunction with Groupama) if you have taken out a mortgage from BT.
