    Go to Settings, go to your Profile and start updating your data.
    It's all online and in just 10 minutes you'll have your data updated. If you don't already have BT Pay installed, download the free app from the App Store or Google Play.

    *Online data updates are performed according to certain criteria established by BT. These are mentioned in the pages above section "Conditions for online data updates". 

    Check on the page to see if you are eligible and update your details! If you are not eligible, you need to visit us at a BT branch to update your information.  

    The only reason we want to update the data of all our customers is to comply with the legal framework and for the safety of transactions and the entire financial system. Each verified and updated information has a well-founded explanation and helps in one way or another the customers, the bank or the State to secure the functioning of the financial system.

    We hate to tell you this, but you should know that if we are unable to update your details, we will have to restrict your access to financial transactions through your account until the details are updated. We know, it's not pleasant for us either, and we would be sorry to have to do this. 😥

    Updating your data is a legal requirement for know your customer and is a mandatory process for both us and you. 

    To continue to benefit from banking services, you need to accept our invitations to update your details online or in BT branch.

    You can update your details quickly and easily via BT Pay or on our website, here. 🙂 

    For individuals, updating of data can be done by presenting a valid identity document and information related to: 

    ⠀occupation;

    ⠀email address;

    ⠀phone number;

    ⠀residential address;

    ⠀nameof employer or nature of own activity;

    ⠀sourceof funds traded through open accounts;

    ⠀the purposeand nature of the business relationship with Banca Transilvania;

    ⠀the statusof a publicly exposed person or even the actual beneficiary of transactions carried out through the account if this person is different from the account holder.

    You can do this quickly and easily by choosing one of the following options 😉

    ⠀Through BT Pay by following these steps: go to "Settings" "Profile" "Update data";

    ⠀By accessing the data update section on our website;  

    ⠀In any BT agency with an original ID;

    The online data update is only for individuals who are BT customers (adults - resident and non-resident or minors - resident)

    You can only update data between 08:00 - 20:00, Monday to Saturday.

    If you arrive at a facility, our colleagues are there to help you with updating your company details. Remember to make an appointment beforehand - it's quicker and saves you waiting.

    Documents needed

    • SRL/SRL-D, II, IF, SA

      The identity card of the company's representative in relation to the bank, but also of the real beneficiaries (associated individuals with a holding of more than 25% of shares / shares).

    • PFA

      Identity document of the company's representative in relation with the bank.

    • Liberal professions
    • Associations and foundations
      • Latest updated constitutive act and/or latest minutes with the current composition of the Steering Committee
      • The last document by which the persons entitled on the accounts are empowered
      • Valid identity documents for legal representatives, proxies, beneficial owners
      • Single form signed by the legal representative
      • Extract from the Register of Associations/Foundations issued by the Court/Ministry of Justice or Clerk's Certificate with complete information from the Court/Tribunal not older than 30 days at the time of submission to the Bank for data update

    If you don't update your details, you may end up not having access to BT services/products and your account may be blocked or even closed.

    First of all, it's good to know that data updating is a mandatory process, required by the applicable legal provisions, as well as by the general terms and conditions of business that manage the customer relationship with BT:

    So, it is very important to update your data.

    The good news is that we have colleagues who are ready to help you right away! 😉

    When it is necessary to update your data, we will inform you in advance.

    We will take care to notify you by e-mail / SMS / letter. So, please make sure that the e-mail address, telephone number, mailing address you have given us are up to date and allow you to receive our messages.

    You can also be contacted by phone or informed by your colleagues at BT unitswhen you visit us. 🙂

    If you want to update your data on your own initiative, you should know that: 

    ⠀Ifyou area natural person, you must update your data when you change details such as: identity document, contact details (phone number, email address, residential address), details about your employer, citizenship, country of tax residence, purpose and nature of the business relationship, or source of funds.

    ⠀Ifyou area legal entity, you must update your data when your company has changed its name, field of activity, associates, registered office address, or other data related to it.

    The data update process is mandatory for both us and you (whether you are a natural or legal person). Here's why: 🙂

    ⠀For us (banks in Romania), it is a legal obligation to get to know our customers better;

    ⠀For you, as a Banca Transilvania customer, because this process ensures the continuation of your relationship with us, transparency, and security.

    The requirements regarding the obligation to periodically update customer data and information are laid down in the Law no. 129 / 2019, in the NBR Regulation no. 2 / 2019 and in other applicable legal regulations.

    In BT units, the update can also be done by the processor if the processor has a mandate to do so and produces the relevant documents.
