    Fingerprint/Face ID authentication terms and conditions - BT24

    Touch id (fingerprint) authentication can be used on devices that have fingerprint authentication, iPhone, minimum iPhone 5s with minimum iOS 8 operating system and on devices with Android operating system, minimum version 6.0.

    Face ID authentication can only be done on Apple devices that have Face ID, iPhone X with a minimum iOS 11 operating system.

    Fingerprints/Face ID are stored in the devices, after they are added beforehand, in their configuration menus. Banca Transilvania does not process digital amperets respectively Face ID or passwords stored in customers' devices.

    These authentication methods ensure the same degree of security as the password used to log in, respectively the authentication in the Banca Transilvania application.


    Using fingerprint authentication or Face ID, in the Banca Transilvania application, the client has the obligation to:

    • to maintain the confidentiality of the password set for his device;
    • not to allow the recording in its devices of the fingerprints of other persons or of other facial images in the case of Face ID;
    • to contact the bank if it notices that unauthorized persons have accessed the device on which the Banca Transilvania application is installed.


    I was informed that:

    • logging in and signing transactions, in the Banca Transilvania mobile application can be done with any fingerprint / Face ID added and saved in the device (smartphone, tablet), before or after activating the authentication with the fingerprint / Face ID in the application;
    • I am obliged to keep the confidentiality of the password set in the device;
    • Disabling the authentication with fingerprint / Face ID in the Banca Transilvania application can be done at any time, from the Useful – Touch / Face ID section (for devices with iOS), respectively Useful – Fingerprint (for Android devices).


    The Bank shall not be liable:

    • if the customer is in any way constrained to log in to the application by digital authentication method or if his/her fingerprint/Face ID is used without his/her consent;
    • if its fingerprint/Face ID is altered after its registration in the application so that, as a result of the alteration, fingerprint authentication/Face ID is no longer allowed by the system;
    • the application was accessed by another person with identical fingerprint/ Face ID.
