BT News Group: February 2026
February was a month of visibility for Banca Transilvania Group. BT published its financial results for the previous year and also celebrated its 32nd anniversary during this period. The month also brought important developments in the area of strategic expansion, through the BT Broker de Asigurare and INNO Investments initiatives, along with new milestones and launches that maintain the very dynamic pace of the beginning of the year.
2025, a year of confirmations
The Banca Transilvania Group ended 2025 with above-average market performance in financing, operations, and transactions. Victoriabank (Republic of Moldova), part of the BT Group, also had a year of growth and transformation.
32 years x Banca Transilvania
Banca Transilvania celebrated 32 years of activity in February, marking the occasion by organizing the BT Founders' Meeting, an annual event through which the bank honors its beginnings and those who laid the foundations of its story with confidence, courage, and optimism.
Mastercard and Banca Transilvania extend their partnership with the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1® Team
Mastercard and BT - Official Race Partner Mastercard of the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1® Team at the 2025 and 2026 Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix - extend their partnership and support two more stages of the F1 calendar in two countries: Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix 2026 (Spielberg) and Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix 2027 (Hungaroring).
Strategic expansion and investments
- BT Insurance Broker is entering a new stage of development by launching its own franchise network.
- BT Property, an alternative real estate investment fund for professional investors managed by INNO Investments, has acquired Record Park, a AAA-class office complex located in a premium area of Cluj-Napoca. With this acquisition, the company is expanding its presence in the premium office segment through the purchase of Record Park.
Recognition and reputation
- Banca Transilvania ranks among the top five best-known brands in Romania, according to a study conducted by Frappe Digital. The ranking was based on unaided awareness, thus reflecting the actual presence of the brand in the public's memory.
- Victoriabank was named Top Employer 2025 for the fifth consecutive year based on the Employer Brand Perception Survey conducted by Axa Management Consulting, confirming its commitment to people and organizational culture.
The first milestones of the year
- BT Visa Platinum Debit reached the milestone of 10,000 cards issued one year after its launch.
- BT Asset Management surpassed a historic milestone: 10 billion lei in assets under management and 450,000 investors, reached in February
Launches – solutions and benefits
- A new online banking shopping campaign, Babe fără drame, runs from February 27 to March 9: lower interest rates on home loans & ambitious projects, gift card points, leasing, BT Pay rewards, and business solutions.
- BT Go: open a business account 100% online, from the app.
- Visa BT digital debit cards, in lei and euros: themed design inspired by the Milan–Cortina Winter Olympics, available until the end of the year.
- Diaspora: 5% cashback for Romanians living abroad who open an account through BT Pay.
- Star Card (Forte, Gold, Platinum): issuing a card through BT Pay by March 10 for another person earns you 150 lei in Star points.
- Victoriabank: MIA Business to Business service, the first solution in the Republic of Moldova that offers companies the possibility to send instant payments.
