Romanian brands are growing together. For 70% of them, BT is their primary bank

In March 2026, Ziarul Financiar launched a new edition of its “Romanian Brands” analysis, featuring 100 Romanian brands that have made—and continue to make—history. It is an editorial project exploring Romania’s economic identity and the landscape of local business.

For 70% of the 100 Romanian businesses, BT is the primary bank in terms of transactions. The companies are, for the most part, based in Bucharest, Cluj, Bacău, Iași, Sibiu, Brașov, Timișoara, Alba, Craiova, Buzău, Satu Mare, and Arad. For Banca Transilvania, this means being part of their decisions, plans, and courage, but—on a much larger scale—playing an active role in an ecosystem where every player contributes and brings something valuable to the economy and society.

Today, over 550,000 companies—from startups to large corporations—work with Banca Transilvania, which is itself among the Romanian brands analyzed by ZF.
