The EC Village campground near Bánffy Castle (Bonțida, Cluj) continues to evolve. The most recent reforestation initiative, organized on March 28, 2026, by Banca Transilvania and Electric Castle (EC), brought together 160 volunteers who planted approximately 2,500 saplings, contributing to the natural regeneration of the site, which, during EC, becomes Romania’s largest festival campground.

The initiative is part of launched in 2023, which aims to plant 10,000 trees. Since then, approximately 7,500 saplings have been planted. The program aims to generate a positive impact beyond the festival—both for the local community and for the thousands of attendees at Electric Castle.

Electric Castle is where music and nature come together, and environmental responsibility is an integral part of the festival experience. EC 2026 will take place from July 16–19, and Banca Transilvania is once again one of the partners of this phenomenal event, continuing to support projects that make a real difference in the community.
