Banca Transilvania in ten news from 2023

Banca Transilvania announced last year a number of new developments regarding its products, services, applications, projects and partnerships. It also reached some round figures: 4 million customers, 6 million cards and 10,000 employees.
The year in review, in some of the most far-reaching topics:
- Banca Transilvania is the strongest Romanian brand, with an elite AAA+ rating, according to Brand Finance's Romania 50 2023. With a brand value increasing by 25% compared to the previous year, BT reached a value of €494 million, ranking 4th in the top of the most valuable Romanian brands.
- Increasing customer access to exclusive services with the launch of Premium Banking: Banca Transilvania has launched the Premium Banking business segment, which comes with services for people with savings or investments between EUR 75,000 and EUR 200,000, respectively with monthly income of at least RON 10,000, received in a BT account. Premium Banking is aimed at customers in Bucharest, and from this year it will be available in areas of the country where there are most BT customers with this profile.
- Grow BT Pay as a super-app, by constantly launching new functionalities such as: purchase of RCA policy, new options for account and card management, travel insurance, issuance of virtual cards with animated design, one of them being the BT Visa UNTOLD card, etc.
- Banking for children aged 10 to 14: The bank has launched the BT Kiddo card and the BT Pay Kiddo app, which helps form positive money management habits with parental guidance.
- Launch of Instant Euro Payments for individuals and companies. By including instant transfers in euro in its offer, Banca Transilvania has joined the European initiative whereby next-day money transfers become transfers in ten seconds, contributing to a significant increase in cash flow and cost savings for businesses, especially SMEs.
- Launching the app BT Go, through which the bank explores new ways to support entrepreneurs with banking and business solutions. Since December, the app has a new functionality, for the first time, the automatic issuing and sending of e-invoices to ANAF, which helps entrepreneurs to comply with the Ro-eFactura legislation, according to which, from January this year, companies must issue electronic invoices, which go directly to ANAF's virtual private space (SPV).
- Integrating artificial intelligence into online communication: the bank has launched AI Search functionality on the Întreb BT platform, which simplifies interactions and increases accessibility to platform content with the help of technology.
- Launch of five bond issues: with the most recent of these, which was also the first ESG issue, BT attracted €500 million from investors.
- International double audit: from 2023, the bank's activity is audited by Moody's rating agency in addition to Fitch Ratings.
- Partnerships: BT is supporting Via Transilvanica from 2023 onwards through a collaboration lasting at least three years. The bank was also the main partner of the European Cultural Capital 2023 - Timișoara, one of the national projects.
Banca Transilvania is to announce via its website the financial communication calendar for this year, which will include the date of publication of the 2023 financial results.
