2024 was a year full of news for the Banca Transilvania Group - from positive financial results, acquisitions, the launch of the first 100% Romanian neobanking, the merger on the leasing market (BT Leasing and OTP Leasing Romania), the integration of artificial intelligence, the launch of products and services, functionalities in the BT Pay and BT Go applications, to market firsts.
At the financial group level, it was the year of acquisitions in Romania and the Republic of Moldova, in line with the strategy of becoming a leader also in areas complementary to banking. BT has acquired OTP Bank Romania, OTP Leasing Romania, OTP Asset Management Romania, OTP Factoring Romania, OTP Consulting Romania, OTP Advisors Romania and OTP Bank Romania Foundation. It also took the first step in the acquisition of BRD Pensii, a company active in mandatory and voluntary private pensions. In the Republic of Moldova, Victoriabank acquired BCR Chisinau, marking a first on the market.
