Banca Transilvania is launching the BT for Diaspora online platform, part of its strategy to expand its digital presence internationally, through Romanian communities in other countries.
For starters, the platform contains information on everyday banking solutions, recommendations, news, articles on macroeconomics, information on online safety, as well as access to the FIT (Finance for Everyone) financial education program. Visitors to the website can subscribe to the newsletter to receive BT news by e-mail.
The Banca Transilvania Group has over 600 branches in Romania, Italy and Moldova. Thanks to the BT Pay application, most of the bank's services - and those of other BT Group companies - can be accessed anytime and from anywhere in the world.

The bank helps Romanians manage their money easily in the countries where they live through:
- accounts (in different currencies);
- digital cards (in RON, EUR, USD);
- physical cards (in RON, EUR);
- BT Pay app;
- access to consultancy in Romanian, Hungarian, Italian, English and French.
This way, our clients enjoy the convenience and consistency of using the same, mostly free, banking solutions through BT Pay, whether they are abroad or in Romania:
- 100% online account opening; customers in Italy, thanks to the BT Pay Italia application, benefit from Italian IBANs;
- phone payments (with the digital card);
- adding cards issued by banks or fintechs in over 30 countries;
- topping up your BT card by transferring money from other cards enrolled in BT Pay;
- sending/requesting money to/from family members or friends;
- foreign exchange for approx. 15 currencies;
- invoice payments (for utilities in Romania);
- issuing the digital card (which can be used instantly) and applying for the physical card, which can be received anywhere in the world;
- card management;
- transaction checking;
- issuing travel insurance.
Banca Transilvania also makes it easier for the diaspora to stay financially connected with Romania, family and friends. Moreover, BT has solutions for people from the diaspora returning to Romania, supporting their personal and professional plans financially for a smooth transition.
