Today, the BT POS app, Banca Transilvania’s mobile payment solution, allows merchants in Romania to seamlessly and securely accept all forms of contactless payments made using Tap to Pay technology on iPhone, including contactless credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and other digital wallets, using only an iPhone and the BT POS app —withoutthe need for additional equipment or a payment terminal.
Upon completing the transaction, the merchant will simply ask the customer to hold their contactless payment method near their iPhone, and the payment will be securely completed using NFC technology. Tap to Pay on iPhone also supports PIN entry, which includes accessibility options.
