Banca Transilvania is a partner bank in the SME Eco-Tech financing program, designed for manufacturing SMEs, offering financing for green and digital transformation with the aim of improving their environmental footprint.

The program is implemented by the Ministry of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship, and Tourism (MEDAT), using Swiss funds, in partnership with partner banks.

Financing through the SME Eco-Tech program comprises two components:

• A non-repayable grant ofupto 267,240 lei (equivalent to 50,000 Swiss francs), covering a maximum of 40% of the eligible expenses of an investment project. The grant is contingent upon obtaining a bank loan under the program to cover 60% of the total amount.
  
  
• A bank loan of at least 400,860 lei (equivalent to 75,000 Swiss francs), intended to finance 60% of the project’s eligible expenses.
  
  

Investment projects may focus on equipment, technologies, and solutions that contribute to energy efficiency and reduced resource consumption.

The program’s budget totals 288.8 million lei, of which 70% comes from Swiss funds and 30% from MEDAT, funded by the state budget. Projects will be evaluated and funded in the order in which complete applications are received.
