Banca Transilvania integrates the RoPay and RoPay Alias functionalities into the BT Pay app, offering customers a new way to transfer money directly from their phone, without the need for an IBAN.  

With RoPay, individual customers can transfer money by scanning the QR code, making it easy for face-to-face transfers, and with RoPay Alias, they can send money by phone number - instantly, free, 24/7.

The two options are available in the BT Pay app by going to the Accounts menu, and more details can be found on the Ask BT online platform and on the BT website using AI Search.

RoPay Community 

The new functionalities of the BT Pay application are being launched thanks to Banca Transilvania's accession to the national instant payment system RoPay, developed by TRANSFOND, in partnership with the Romanian Association of Banks.

Banca Transilvania, along with other banks that have joined the RoPay system, is contributing to the development of the national instant payment service, which makes transfers between banks simpler.
