Horia Ciorcila was decorated by Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown

Horia Ciorcilă, Chairman of the Board of Directors and one of the founders of Banca Transilvania, was awarded the distinction Nihil Sine Deo by the Royal Family of Romania during the ceremony held at Peleș Castle, in Sinaia, on 11 March 2024.
Laudatio - Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown:
Mr Horia Ciorcilă,
for his entire banking activity, during which he made an essential contribution to the founding and development of Banca Transilvania, the strongest Romanian privately owned bank.
Because, during its activity, Banca Transilvania has also focused on promoting, through corporate social responsibility initiatives, Romanian values and supporting local development initiatives, generously contributing to the projects and programmes of the Royal House for the benefit of the country and local communities.
The award may be presented to a maximum of 200 living persons, institutions and organisations
The Royal Decoration Nihil Sine Deo is awarded by decision of the Sovereign of the Royal House of Romania to personalities, institutions and organizations with outstanding achievements. The decorated persons celebrate the Decoration Day every year on 20 April - the birthday of King Carol (1839) and, at the same time, the day he was elected Ruler of the United Romanian Principalities (1866) - as a symbol of the Royal House continuity and tradition.
