Nearly 100 volunteers planted 2,000 trees this weekend in Bonțida (Cluj) as part of a first volunteer action to transform the EC Village campsite.

Over the next three years, Electric Castle and Banca Transilvania aim to make EC Village, the largest festival campsite in the country, a greener place. The project involves afforesting 10 hectares of land, now open fields, with 10,000 trees. BT is contributing both financially and through volunteers from the bank's team and is extending its yearly partnership with the Electric Castle festival.

EC Village is where, for five days each year, Electric Castle attendees enjoy the authentic music festival experience as well as nature. Electric Castle will take place from 19 to 23 July in Bonținda, Cluj.

BT has been involved in afforestation for 10 years. Together with Tășuleasa Social, BT has contributed to the planting of 450,000 seedlings on an area of 75 hectares.
