Banca Transilvania supports the www.greencommunity.ro platform, launched today by the www.bankingnews.ro publication team and which aims to bring together people, companies, NGOs and authorities to create a community around sustainability.

The new media product focuses on information, analysis, opinions and solutions regarding climate change and the importance of moving towards the green economy. It also promotes businesses that take responsibility for the environment and the community.

Banca Transilvania is the first bank in Romania to provide financing for energy efficiency in the residential sector in Romania, from EBRD funds. Financing from partnerships with renowned international financial institutions has significantly contributed to the development of internal competences in the field. Currently, Banca Transilvania Financial Group supports environmentally friendly projects from its own sources and uses complex models of environmental and social risk assessment. BT's strategic objectives in terms of ESG are the following: strengthening the portfolio of impactful financing, community development through access to finance and financial education, respectively reducing the carbon footprint generated by the portfolio financed by the BT Group.
