BT launches contactless donation boxes with Ronald McDonald Children's Foundation, continuing initiative to bring people together

The Ronald McDonald Children's Foundation is the newest beneficiary of the initiative launched last year by BancaTransilvania, Contactless donations through dedicated POS. The contactless donation boxes will be placed starting this month in 10 McDonald's restaurants in Bucharest and in the country, and from next month they will be both in the branches of Banca Transilvania and in partner locations that will be communicated later.

5 lei is the amount that can be donated every time with a contactless card issued by any bank, with the phone, through the BT Pay or Apple Pay applications, respectively with any of the BT payment accessories: sticker, bracelet or contactless watch.

The donations will help support the ronald mcdonald children's foundation's projects, projects that provide support to children and their families through the Ronald McDonald Houses or through the annual endowment with medical equipment and equipment to children's hospitals across the country.

In the next period, the Foundation will start the works for the extension of the Ronald McDonald House in Timisoara with 10 rooms, the construction of the new Ronald McDonald House in Iasi and will complete the endowment with medical equipment and non-medical equipment to three children's hospitals in the country.

For 21 years, the Ronald McDonald Children's Foundation identifies, develops and supports projects and programs that have a positive and direct impact on the quality of life and health of children, and so far the value of community involvement exceeds 23,000,000 lei. Over 19,500 parents found in the two Ronald McDonald Houses in Bucharest and Timisoara the comfort of a home during their children's hospitalization. Five of the largest children's hospitals in the country have benefited from the support of the Foundation through successive endowments with high-performance medical equipment or equipment or non-medical facilities extremely necessary to fulfill the medical act in optimal conditions. 5,000 volunteers and supporters dedicated time and resources to carry forward the Foundation's message and attract resources from the community.
