BT, alongside the Association of Romanian Investors in the Republic of Moldova, as a strategic partner

The Banca Transilvania Group reaffirms its role in strengthening economic relations between Romania and the Republic of Moldova. The most recent step was its participation in Bucharest at the event dedicated to the launch of the Romanian Investors Association (AIR) representative office in the Republic of Moldova, as a strategic partner.

The event, which took place on January 23, 2026, brought together business leaders, representatives of the governments of the two countries, and entrepreneurs interested in new investment opportunities. BT was represented by Ömer Tetik, General Manager.

The Banca Transilvania Group supports AIR, including through the involvement of BT Leasing Moldova and Victoriabank, companies operating in the Republic of Moldova and members of the association. Through its financial expertise and strong presence in the Republic of Moldova, the BT Group contributes to the development of a favorable framework for business internationalization and to stimulating economic growth in the two countries.

AIR members represent 65% of Romanian investments in the Republic of Moldova

The Association of Romanian Investors in the Republic of Moldova was founded in 2018 by 12 Romanian-owned companies. Currently, AIR brings together 45 member companies, which represent over 65% of total Romanian investments in the Republic of Moldova and have generated a turnover of over €1 billion. Member companies have created over 15,000 jobs in the Republic of Moldova to date and are active in areas such as finance and banking, pharmaceuticals, trade, construction, courier services, and services.
