More than 10,000 people became bank customers through BT Pay

More than 10,000 people became customers of Banca Transilvania within two months without having to go to the bank, just by using the BT Pay application to open a current account.

The option of opening a current account through BT Pay, launched by the bank in January this year, is particularly appreciated by Generation Z and Generation Y (Millennials): almost 50% of new customers are between 18 and 24 years old, and 30% are between 25 and 35 years old.

Currently, one in four new customers of Banca Transilvania choose BT Pay to open a current account.

Opening a current account through BT Pay:

• It can be done anytime, in minutes.
• Customers have immediate access to all the functionality of the app.
• Customers instantly receive the digital debit card in the app and then the physical card at one of the bank's branches or at the desired address. The card can be funded either by IBAN transfer or by another bank card added to BT Pay.

BT Pay is helping to increase online banking adoption and financial inclusion. The app can be downloaded from Google Play, App Store and Huawei App Gallery.
