BT and the National Art Museum of Romania: Partnership to Support Culture, Education and the Community

Banca Transilvania (BT) and the National Art Museum of Romania (NAMR) are launching a partnership that will bring art and people closer together.

The partnership, running from 2026 to 2027, is a country project that will contribute to the development of the urban cultural ecosystem through initiatives and experiences that bring people together. BT's involvement, through a significant investment, will increase the visibility of NAMR's initiatives - an institution with national and international prestige and impact.

The National Art Museum of Romania, which operates in the former Royal Palace and in four other palaces and buildings in Bucharest, is one of the best-known cultural institutions in the country, with over 200,000 visitors per year and a heritage valued at over RON 1.3 billion.

A New Exhibition Season

NAMR and BT are inviting the public to two event-exhibitions, starting June 12, 2026:

  • The Museum of Museums (June 12 – October 4, 2026): a unique opportunity to see more than 100 works from 20 Romanian museums in one place, offering a unique perspective on the national heritage. The exhibition includes exhibits from different eras - Neolithic and ancient statues, paintings, sculptures, manuscripts, cult objects, textiles, embroideries, icons and graphics - and is curated by Erwin Kessler, Emanuela Cernea and Mălina Conțu.

  • Brâncuși. The Syndrome (June 12 – October 25, 2026): the exhibition is dedicated to the influence of Constantin Brancusi in modern and contemporary art, organized on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the artist's birth. It is curated by Judit Balint and Erwin Kessler.
