BT finances URBANO Shopping & Living, the largest shopping park in Transylvania, with over EUR 16 million

Banca Transilvania is supporting the development of the largest shopping park in Transylvania, URBANO Shopping & Living, with a financing of more than EUR 16 million. A project of URBANO Group it will transform Floresti (Cluj County) into a commercial and entertainment hub starting next year.

With a total investment of over € 100 million, URBANO Group will contribute to the growth of the local community through accessibility, mobility and environmentally friendly solutions. Due to its location, URBANO Shopping & Living will enjoy a proximity public of over 150,000 people. 

We support Romanian companies that invest in sustainable development, and we have had a very good cooperation for over 15 years with URBANO Group, a true example in this respect. We are glad to have the opportunity to contribute once again - by supporting URBANO Shopping & Living - to the development of Cluj and of the local community. In addition to its immediate impact in the community, such a project has the potential to develop a real ecosystem around it, becoming a point of interest for related real-estate developments in later stages

URBANO Shopping & Living's impact on the community, economy and environment

URBANO Shopping & Living will mean shopping and entertainment attractions on an area of 25 hectares: DIY store, cash & carry hypermarket, supermarket, furniture and decoration, clothing, footwear, health and beauty, sports, electronics, toys, cafes, coffee shops, coffee shops, drive-in restaurants, office spaces and event halls.

The largest business park in Transylvania will generate over 500 jobs during its implementation and beyond.

In addition to the economic and social impact, the park has a green component thanks to integrated, environmentally friendly and community-friendly solutions, meaning more than 5 hectares of green spaces, efficient energy management, renewable energy solutions or charging stations for electric bicycles and cars.
