BT Capital Partners (BTCP), the largest brokerage firm on the Romanian capital market, has recorded a record number of new investors—over 15,000—since April 2026.

Of the 15,000 new trading accounts opened at BT Capital Partners, 90% were opened through BT Pay, with the app tripling the number of accounts opened monthly at BTCP.

The growth was driven by the launch of the option to open a BT Capital Partners trading account within the BT Pay app, as well as the launch of BT Romania ETF, an investment fund listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. Most new investors are Private and Premium Banking clients of Banca Transilvania, from Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest, Constanța, Iași, and Timișoara.

The expansion of the client base contributed to BT Capital Partners’ net assets exceeding 37 billion lei (over 7 billion euros).
