Banca Transilvania launches BT Pay, wallet application for shopping and money transfer with the phone

Banca Transilvania launches BT Pay,a wallet application for shopping and money transfer with your phone. It becomes a digital wallet,changing the shopping experience for BT customers who have a Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card, but also the one of sending money. The application can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or App Store, on android and iOS smartphones and involves adding cards in digital format.
The launch marks two firsts: BT Pay is the first wallet in Romania that allows contactless payments, based on intelligent payment technology Visa Token Service and MasterCard Digital Enablement Service, respectively it is the first digital wallet in South-Eastern Europe to use Visa's token service.
BT Pay means the collection of payment accessories that Banca Transilvania has launched so far - the sticker, the watch and the contactless bracelet - and starting today, the wallet application.
With the help of BT Pay, BT customers can achieve the following:
- Payments in the country and abroad,by approaching the smartphone to the contactless terminations of merchants, functionality valid for smartphones with Android operating system, iOS system not allowing access NFC (Near Field Communication) for third-party applications.
- Money transfer between your own cards and to other people who have a BT card.
- See the details about the transactions made with the BT card,the balance and, in the case of credit cards, the monthly payment amounts and the accumulated STAR loyalty points.
- Accessing the bank's offers and the campaigns of the BT partners from the STAR program,dedicated to those who have shopping cards from Banca Transilvania.
Banca Transilvania's partners for the development of BT Pay are: Visa; Mastercard; Endava,a British IT services and solutions company with a strong presence in Romania and Inside Secure,a global leader in mobile device security.
