Banca Transilvania increases interest rates on deposits 4% interest rate on 6-month deposits

Banca Transilvania increases interest rates on savings products in lei for individuals and companies. The increase, between 1.50% and 2.75%, comes in the context of the bank's responsibility regarding the safety and good remuneration of its clients' financial resources, in this complex period. The deposits that will have higher interest rates are those made for 1, 3, 6, 12, 24 and 36 months. The classic 6 and 12 month deposits have an interest rate of 4%.

New interest rates on deposits in lei:

For individuals:

• 1 month deposit: 1.90% (from 0.90%)
• 3-month deposit: 3.10% (up from 3%)
• 6-month deposit: 4% (from 3.25%)
• 12-month deposit: 4% (from 3.75%)
• 24-month deposit: 3.80% (from 2.60%)

For legal entities:

• 1 month deposit: 2.05% (from 0.75%)
• 3-month deposit: 2.25% (from 0.9%)
• 6-month deposit: 4% (from 1.25%)
• 12-month deposit: 4% (up from 2%)
• 24-month deposit: 3.30% (up from 2.30%)
• 24-month deposit with variable interest rate: 2.85% (from 1.85%)

The balance of BT's deposits and current accounts increased in 2021 by 16% compared to 2020 and reached over 102 billion lei.
