Visa recognition for BT: Exceptional Development of the Acquiring Business in Romania

Banca Transilvania received Visa's recognition for supporting card payment solutions and the impact of this involvement, within the Visa Acquiring Event, in Bucharest.

BT has a whole ecosystem of payment solutions, which includes traditional POS, Android POS, POS software, iPAY proprietary eCommerce solution, STAR multi-merchant loyalty, table ticket acceptance, etc. eCommerce is one of the pillars of the card business at Banca Transilvania with the greatest dynamics.

All are presented on BTePOS.ro, a platform through which merchants can order everything they need to give customers the opportunity to pay by card, phone or online. Over 45,000 companies have about 90,000 POS from Banca Transilvania.

Also, BT is the first bank in Romania that received, last year, ISO9001:2015 certification for activities of accepting cards for payment through POS, respectively eCommerce, through the certification body is SGS Romania.

The bank was represented at the Visa event, for the award raising, by Alexandru Bratu, Card Acceptance Director – Payment Solutions.
