BT Direct, a Banca Transilvania Group company that provides loans to individuals in partner stores, saw business accelerate in 2023, supported by continued digital transformation and partnerships with stores that represent well-known brands in Romania.

The 2023 Cifele :

• 200,000 active Direct cards in the portfolio;
•  +58% number of active Direct cards (2023 vs 2022);
• +35% number of co-branded cards issued by BT Direct with partner shops (2023 vs 2022);
• +35% usage of Direct cards for POS payment (2023 vs 2022);
• 120,000 Smart by BT Direct online loan applications, with a maximum of 5,000 applications in one day.

Through BT Direct you can access loans in partner stores - physical and online -, personal loans, as well as the Direct credit card.

In 2023, the company expanded its offer and launched the refinancing solution for unsecured loans and card loans from other banks/other financial institutions. BT Direct has also taken another step towards sustainability by being more environmentally friendly: 85% of the cards issued are environmentally friendly, made from recycled materials, and can be used digitally via the BT Pay app of Banca Transilvania.
