What's new in the BT 2024 Sustainability Report

Banca Transilvania Group has published the Sustainability Report 2024 , which contains information on how BT has continued to integrate sustainability principles into all the aspects of our business, from financing the green economy, supporting local entrepreneurs, digitizing services to developing a performance-focused organizational culture.
BT, sustainability & ESG:
- Banca Transilvania has upgraded its target for green loans for the period 2025-2027, to RON 5 billion;
- The granted financing in 2024 amounted to approx. RON 1.8 billion, directly contributing to reducing carbon emissions and protecting the environment;
- Green mortgage loans granted last year totaled RON 587 million, accounting for 13% of all the mortgage loans originated in 2024;
- 73% of the group's electricity consumption came from renewable sources;
- The average training time per employee, group-wide, was 54 hours in 2024;
- Within the FIT program, 50 financial education seminars were organized and guidelines on personal budgeting were distributed to 100,000 people;
- Over 8,800 people attended the entrepreneurship education events organized within STUP.
The novelty of the report is the alignment with the new EU reporting requirements, CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) and ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards), which completes the financial picture of the Banca Transilvania Group with an overview of the impact on the environment and society.
