Victoriabank successfully completes merger with BCR Chisinau

Today, March 3, Victoriabank and BCR Chisinau become one bank. The merger, now in its final stage, contributes to Victoriabank's growth in the Moldovan market.

With the acquisition of BCR Chisinau, announced in 2024, Victoriabank marked a first in the Moldovan market, with a local bank fully acquiring another Moldovan banking institution.

Financial impact of the acquisition of BCR Chisinau:

• Victoriabank's consolidated net profit for 2024 exceeded RON 1.1 billion, up more than 70% compared to 2023.
• The volume of loans increased by over 900 million lei.
• At the date of the merger, assets increased by RON 2 billion.

Victoriabank is increasing its presence in two areas, Chisinau and Balti, and the team has expanded. Over 50% of BCR Chișinău employees are part of the Victoriabank team, and every fourth one is in management positions.

This merger is an important step for our growth and to contribute to strengthening the banking market in the Republic of Moldova. The integration was coordinated by Vasile Donica, as CEO of BCR Chisinau, who returned to Victoriabank's top management team as Corporate Vice President, previously held.
