Banca Transilvania Financial Group expands in the field of private pensions

Banca Transilvania Financial Group expands its financial services for its over 3 million clients through an investment in the field of privately managed pensions: BT Asset Management S.A.I. (BTAM) and BT Investments acquire 100% of Certinvest Pensions.

Certinvest Pensii, the only local player among the pension fund administrators in Romania, manages over 75 million lei in an optional pension fund that has over 9,500 participants.

"With this acquisition, BT's interest is directed towards stimulating long-term savings through Pillar III pensions, the optional option, but with increasing demand among active people. We want the future pension company BT to become a very relevant player, including on this market segment, on the model of the companies we already have in the Banca Transilvania Financial Group", says Ömer Tetik, General Manager, Banca Transilvania.

After the signing of today's firm loan, the stage of receiving the approval of the acquisition from the Financial Supervisory Authority follows.

BT Asset Management S.A.I. is the company of Banca Transilvania Financial Group, specialized in investment management through open and closed funds. BTAM currently has over 3.9 billion lei assets, 14 open-end investment funds in management and over 40,000 clients. The transaction was assisted by BT Capital Partners, the investment banking and capital markets division of Banca Transilvania Financial Group, an exclusive member in Romania of oaklins international alliance.
