BRD Pensii customers, part of Banca Transilvania Group, can access information about their savings in the Pillar 2 pension fund in BT Pay.

BRD Pension customers with savings in the privately managed BRD pension fund – and who, thanks to the acquisition made by Banca Transilvania Financial Group in November 2025, are now part of the BT financial ecosystem – can access information about their Pillar 2 pension fund in the BT Pay app.

Thanks to the latest BT Pay feature, customers have access to the following details:

  • the total amount accumulated in the pension fund;
  • contribution history;
  • yield;
  • the number of fund units held.

The administrator of the Pillar 2 pension can be found on the ASF website.

On the Financial Supervisory Authority platform, individuals can find out which pension fund (Pillar 2) they contribute to, given that, at the start of their professional activity, the allocation to a fund was made automatically or, over time, it was changed. Knowing the administrator and the fund is relevant in order to track the evolution of pension savings and make informed decisions about their management.

Over 10 billion lei under management at Banca Transilvania Group

The assets in Pillar 2 and Pillar 3 managed by companies in the Banca Transilvania Financial Group exceeded RON 10 billion, representing the pension savings of over 825,000 Romanians. Almost 10,000 people have joined Pillar 3 through the BT Pay app since August 2025, when this feature was launched.

BRD Pensii and the privately managed BRD pension fund (Pillar 2) will be renamed to reflect their affiliation with Banca Transilvania Financial Group, with BT to publicly announce the new names once the necessary approvals have been received from the Financial Supervisory Authority.

Managing pension funds by phone

The BT Pay app helps you easily manage pension funds administered by Banca Transilvania Group companies, both under Pillar 2 and Pillar 3, through the following options:

  • Consultation of amounts accumulated in private pension funds, regardless of the pillar to which they belong;

  • 100% online enrollment in less than two minutes in the Pensia Mea and Pensia Mea Plus funds, managed by BT Pensii (Pillar 3);

  • The possibility of changing the monthly contribution at any time in the case of Pillar 3 funds. The minimum amount is 50 lei/month;

  • The option to set up a monthly recurring payment for Pillar 3 funds. The money is transferred automatically from the current account opened with Banca Transilvania on a monthly basis, on the day chosen by the customer.

The article " The Pension System in Romania " on the BT Blog provides details about the contributor base, the labor market, life expectancy, and the systemic deficit.
