The story of BT Pay, the only wallet app in Romania that allows you to shop with your phone

What is BT Pay? BT + Pay = BT Pay, wallet application for contactless shopping and money transfer with the phone. In other words, once downloaded to smartphones with Android and iOS, it turns the phone into a digital wallet. It is for Transilvania Bank's customers, regardless of the BT card they have – debit, shopping or travel, Visa or Mastercard.

Launched at the end of January 2018, BT Pay changes the experience we had so far when shopping, when we want to pay contactless. But also how we send money to other people or from one personal account to another. You don't have cash with you and you have to pay something? No problem! Did you forget your card at home and realized just when you had to pay for your last purchase? It's still happening! Or do you want to quickly send money to your friend? If all you have the phone you still have with you, from now on you know that it can help you including to pay what you buy in stores or send money as you say ... piiiing!

9 months, 30 colleagues in the team and another 300 BT "volunteers" for the pilot stage

The story of BT Pay started 9 months ago, in 2017, and the january 29 launch of .c. comes after a pilot period, in which a team of 300 volunteers from the BT team got directly involved with feedbacks that more than that. The development, growth so far of the application, within our bank, has been handled by a team of approximately 30 colleagues, with specializations of the most diverse: Cards, Project Management, IT, Digital, Marketing & Communication. All 4 one: BT Pay :).

With BT Pay, shopping and money transfer at hand

Here's what BT Pay helps you with:

• When you have to pay something, in the country and abroad. It's very simple: how much you have to approach the smartphone to the contactless terminals of the merchants.
• Then you cant transfer money - between your own cards or to those of other people - friends, family, etc. 
• When you want to know more details about the transactions made with the BT card /cards or how much money you have in your account
• If you want to have at hand the offers of the bank and those of the STAR Program partners, dedicated to those who have shopping cards from Banca Transilvania.
