Press release 2020-10-27
- Banca Transilvania wants to unite Romanians to support entrepreneurs
- The bank launches, for the first time, an initiative through the voice of the people from BT,to show reasons and examples for which local businesses deserve to be supported
BT is launching a new initiative to support entrepreneurs, this time for those who are part of our daily lives through their businesses. The café on the way to the office, the store with everything next to the block, the florist on the neighboring street or the online store with natural products – and many other examples – are local businesses and the soul of any neighborhood or city.
Buy next to you! it is the challenge launched by BT to unite people again, so that they can find out about them as many people as possible. Entrepreneurs, regardless of the size of the business, pay taxes and create jobs. By supporting neighborhood businesses, Romanians support the local economy. The first step was taken by the bank's employees, by recommending some businesses in the country, even if they are not BT. Customers, the campaign starts today with Omer Tetik,General Manager, who presents Filgud (Bucharest), with Tiberiu Moisa,Deputy General Manager of MidCorporate & SME, who talks about Panemar (Cluj-Napoca) and with Sorina Tigantea,Agribusiness Customer Care Manager, who promotes the Floare din Banat business (Timisoara). Dozens of other #OameniDeLaBT follow.
"People ask me what to do now in Romania. I think there is a lot to do, but one thing that each of us can easily do is to support local businesses, to buy from the people and companies near us. That's how we support the whole country and us, indirectly. I am glad to be part of this initiative and I challenge those who know me, my colleagues and friends: choose a neighborhood business and buy from there, there are many and they do a good job. They have quality things, comparable to anything that comes from outside. Open challenge!" – said Omer Tetik, General Manager of BT. "It's not just a campaign. We want to start a movement so that each of us thinks more about the impact of our shopping and purchasing in the economy and how they impact the country." – continues Omer Tetik.
The bank has also come up with other initiatives to support entrepreneurs in the context of the pandemic. Such are the two hubs for online shopping, #DirectLaTine and #InMiscare, launched together with customers, as well as Buy from a small business,to spur as many people as possible to buy from companies at the beginning of the road.
