BT Capital Partners was the consultant of Victoriabank, the financial intermediary of the first municipal bond issues in the Republic of Moldova

BT Capital Partners (BTCP), the investment banking and capital markets division of Banca Transilvania Financial Group, advised Victoriabank, the financial intermediary of the first municipal bond issues in the Republic of Moldova. BTCP thus successfully ensured the transfer of know-how to Victoriabank, being a first step to contribute to the development of the capital market in the neighbouring country, as well as in two Moldovan cities,Singera and Ceadir-Lunga.

The debut of municipal bond issues on the Moldovan capital market is a success, being fully subscribed in less than a week after the launch of the Public Offer. They were launched on 5 August this year by the mayors of two municipalities in the Republic of Moldova,Singera and Ceadir-Lunga. A total of 37 subscription applications were received, and the amounts attracted, 7.5 million Moldovan lei, cover the amount foreseen in the issue prospectus. The money raised will be used to develop the infrastructure of the two cities, with a direct positive impact for almost 30,000 inhabitants.
