Award for excellence in human resources management

08 May 2023 Reading time 3:00 minutes

Nevenca Doca, Senior Executive Director Human Resources at Banca Transilvania, received the Human Resources Management Excellence Award for consolidating the largest employee network in the banking system, during the gala organized by Capital and Evenimentul Zilei, in Bucharest.

Some of the ideas conveyed at the gala:

  • "I invite you to think that when we talk about the biggest network, we are not just talking about numbers, we are talking about people. There are over 12,000 of us in the BT Group, each with a story, an anonymous story, unknown to the world. One such story happened last week: we received an email about an incident that happened in an agency in the country. Our customers, parents who came to the bank with their little girl of about four years old, gave her a candy with which she almost choked, couldn't breathe and started turning blue. The parents were in shock, but one of our colleagues, Ana, quickly intervened with a few manoeuvres and saved her. Although Ana was an angel to this little girl, she modestly told us I'm glad it all ended well. Every time you enter a bank, I invite you to remember that there are people with life stories behind the counters, with whom I ask you to be patient".

  • "A great project because of its very concrete and tangible impact in the lives of some of our colleagues is the program for the prevention of the most common types of cancer, Screening Saves Lives, carried out together with the Regina Maria Health Network. Since March 2017, when we launched it and to date, 124 lives have been saved thanks to this program. If we talk about return on investment, this is the program whose ROI is measured in lives saved."

  • "Technology will further help the HR area to provide quality services to both management and colleagues in the company. High quality and high granularity data will help us tailor actions and decisions to meet the different needs of our colleague community. And HR people will be even more engaged in developing, advising and nurturing colleagues."

BT - human resources in 2022:

  • 1,500 people were hired at Banca Transilvania;
  • 38 is the average age;
  • Over 11% was staff turnover compared to 2021.

BT Employee Experience Index 2022

Similar to other years, in 2022 the Employee Experience Index survey was conducted among BT Group employees, which measures the quality of the relationship between managers and their colleagues, taking into account the criteria: Coaching, Communication and Care. It is also a good opportunity to centralize some ideas from the team, so that Banca Transilvania can be an increasingly attractive place to work.

  • +11.92 eNPS points in January 2022 compared to July 2021;
  • Despite challenges such as inflation, high labour market dynamics, the eNPS remained stable in January 2023;
  • Survey participation rate: over 90%.

Banca Transilvania has almost 10,000 employees.
