BT ranks among Romania's most desirable employers, according to the Catalyst Solutions 2026 study

Banca Transilvaniais once again among the Top 100 Most Desirable Employers in Romania this year, ranking 11th in the national ranking compiled by Catalyst Solutions, one of the most comprehensive barometers of companies’ attractiveness to job seekers.

Now in its 21st edition, the study captures both candidates’ preferences and expectations, as well as how they view the job market.

Details about the Catalyst Solutions study:

  • It took place from November 2025 to April 2026.

  • Nearly 11,000 people working in fields such as IT&C, engineering, social and economic sciences, and medicine and pharmaceuticals participated in the study.

  • The ranking is based on unprompted responses to the question: " What are the top 5 employers you would like to work for?"

  • According to the study, the factors that influence the frequency of mentions are: the size of the organization, its geographic reach, and the diversity of available roles.

Candidates' Expectations In 2026, when it comes to choosing an employer, the key criteria are:

  • Attractive compensation package – for nearly 7 out of 10 candidates (68%);

  • Workplace safety (60%);

  • Non-wage benefits (59%).

Respondents also want their employers to provide training and support for using AI. The data indicates that employees do not reject the technology, but they do set conditions: the adoption of AI is actually expected, provided that it is accompanied by transparency, professional training, and the involvement of people in the change process:

  • More than half of respondents expect employers to provide training and support for using AI (55%), to be transparent about how the technology is used within the company (55%), and to ensure that data is protected and that AI is adopted in an ethical manner (54%).

  • Nearly half of candidates are looking for concrete opportunities for upskilling and reskilling (50%) and want assurances that artificial intelligence will not affect their jobs (49%).
