Fitch reaffirms the BB+ long-term credit rating for Banca Transilvania with stable outlook

Fitch Ratings reaffirms its long-term rating on Banca Transilvania at 'BB+' with a stable outlook and its viability rating (VR) at 'bb+' with the following mentions: 

• BT is a robust bank with solid capitalisation, underpinned by a sustained internal capacity to generate capital and having a healthy funding profile;
• The bank's asset quality is underpinned by a prudent risk policy and a diversified loan portfolio;
• Banca Transilvania's profitability in 2022 was solid, underpinned by growing revenues and efficient cost management.

Solid provision coverage and low concentration risk represent the premises for Banca Transilvania to mitigate the effects of potential asset quality pressures under the current economic environment.
