Banca Transilvania and BT Investments received the ASF Authorization for the Acquisition of BRD Pensii and of the BRD Mandatory Private Pension Fund

Banca Transilvania and BT Investments have received the authorization from the Financial Supervisory Authority for the acquisition of BRD Pensii and of the BRD mandatory private pension fund (pillar 2).
The ownership of BRD Pensii shall be transferred this month, whereby the company and the BRD pension fund (pillar 2) shall be then part of the Banca Transilvania Group.
The BT Group will publicly announce the completion of the acquisition, as well as details of its impact on the business and the Romanian private pension market.
Context:
- In May 2024, Banca Transilvania, BT Investments, BRD-Groupe Societe Generale and Societe Generale Assurances announced the conclusion of the agreement for the acquisition of BRD Pensii by the companies of the Banca Transilvania Financial Group. At that time, BRD Pensii administered Pillar 3 and Pillar 2 pension funds.
- In April 2025, as a first step under the announced agreement, BT Pensii became the administrator of the voluntary pension fund, FPF BRD Medio, renamed to Pensia Mea Plus.
