3,000 macroeconomic analysis reports have been made so far at Banca Transilvania

22 October 2019 Reading time 2:00 minutes

3,000 macroeconomic analysis and forecasting reports have been communicated so far by Banca Transilvania. Through them, since 2014, BT contributes to financial education, but also to making investment and consumption decisions. The reports present global, European and internal macro-financial developments, as well as the short- and medium-term macroeconomic outlook, to which anyone interested has access free of charge, online.

"With passion, dedication and perseverance, we strive to bring macroeconomic analysis and forecasting closer to the people who need this information. We analyze every day everything that happens, from internal and external factors that influence the behavior of markets, sectors and the economy as a whole, in an approach from the world economy to the national economy. In economics, the phenomena are interdependent and, if we know what to pay attention to, we can make much more inspired economic decisions. That is why we have become accustomed to being, from this point of view, like a seismograph." – says Dr. Andrei Rădulescu, Director of Macroeconomic Analysis, Banca Transilvania.

Depending on the topic, the macroeconomic analysis reports are of 6 types, BT Daily (presents the daily macro-financial developments in Romania, the Eurozone, the USA and China), BT Macro Focus (analyzes the developments of the main domestic, European and world macro-financial indicators), BT Government Securities (presents weekly details about the government securities market in Romania, Europe and the USA), BT Update Banking Sector (is a monthly analysis of the Romanian banking sector) and BT Monthly (incorporates the central macroeconomic scenario on medium term for Romania). Since 2018, Banca Transilvania has also been reporting on the economy of the Republic of Moldova, VB Weekly.

The elaboration of such a report involves the collection of macro-financial information about the world economy, the Eurozone, Romania and the Republic of Moldova, their processing through econometric techniques, the calibration of a central macroeconomic scenario and the elaboration of a synthesis of the analysis results. The reports can be followed on the BT website and on the website of Victoriabank, a bank in the Republic of Moldova in which Banca Transilvania is a shareholder, respectively on the BT Twitter page. Registration for the receipt by email of these analyzes is made by sending an email to the address andrei.radulescu@btrl.ro.
