Transilvania Bank's subordinated bonds are traded on the Bucharest Stock Exchange starting today

The subordinated bonds of Banca Transilvania entered today to trading on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. The issue is worth a total of 285 million euros.
"Banca Transilvania launched this issue to finance the growth of the medium and long-term loan portfolio, as well as to streamline the capital structure, offering shareholders increased returns" - says Ömer Tetik, CEO, Banca Transilvania.
"We are witnessing two firsts of the same issuer for the Romanian capital market. First of all, we are talking about the first bond issue issued by Banca Transilvania on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. The second premiere refers to the fact that the bank's bonds are the first from BVB that have variable interest rates in euros. In addition, Banca Transilvania has so far distinguished itself on the local market as the most traded issuer and is in the top 3 largest companies according to capitalization" – said Adrian Tanase, CEO of the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
The bonds are of the type of Tier 2 Own Funds, unsecured, subordinated, denominated in euro and have an annual interest rate equal to EURIBOR6M +3.75%. The symbol of subordinated bonds is TLV28E, and the securities are due in 2028.
Banca Transilvania & the capital market:
- BT is the first bank in Romania to be listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange; the bank has over 20 years of experience as a company listed on BVB.
- Over 28,000 shareholders of Transilvania Bank are Romanian individuals. Almost 55% of BT's capital is Romanian, and the market capitalization is over 10 billion lei.
- The bank obtained 9.5 points out of 10 when assessing the Bucharest Stock Exchange regarding the communication with investors of the listed companies (2017);
- Banca Transilvania received from BVB the awards Of the Most Traded Share on the Main Market in 2017, respectively the Best Communication and Investor Relations Strategy of a listed company in 2017 (Opening of the Stock Market Year, Bucharest, 2018);
- Banca Transilvania Financial Group is involved, together with the Bucharest Stock Exchange, in financial education projects, such as Fluent in Finance – the universal online platform for investors and Made in Romania – a competition dedicated to identifying, promoting and supporting Romanian companies through mentoring.
- Banca Transilvania is the longest-running issuer in the BET index component - the reference of the Romanian capital market.
