Banca Transilvania has prepared electrical experiences for the approximately 130,000 participants expected at Electric Castle, a festival that takes place between July 12-16, at Bánffy Castle in Bontida, Cluj County.

BT also supports live music this year through partnerships with the largest festivals organized in Romania. Besides Electric Castle, we are talking about Untold (August 3-6, Cluj-Napoca) and Summer Well (August 12-13, Buftea, Bucharest).

At Electric Castle, BT Hub is a place for creative ideas and workshops within Electric Castle. Hangar by BT is a new stage, dedicated to Romanian and international live music. BT Cashless is the payment system within Electric Castle, with the RFID festival bracelet, as well as the BT contactless bracelet or watch. The electric experiences offered by BT to electric castle participants can be followed during the festival on the Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter pages of Banca Transilvania.

● BT Hub experience - the place where good ideas come together

Within BT Hub are organized meetings and creative workshops held by entrepreneurs and young people with success stories:

  • When Binili Wins (Saturday, July 15, between 14:00 and 15:00): meeting with Bogdan Serban, producer and presenter of Radio Guerrilla, on which occasion the participants can find out the story of the relaunch of the radio station;
  • Electric Rhymes (Friday, Saturday and Sunday, between 16:00 and 17:00): rhyme contest with vloggers from Epic Show;
  • Festival Selfie (Thursday and Saturday, between 17:00 and 18:00): workshop by photographer Vlad Cupsa;

Besides the workshop program, BT Hub is a relaxation area between concerts, which also offers the opportunity to have a festival GIF on the stage background, for promotion on social media. Also within BT Hub, will take place on Sunday, July 16th, the exhibition of Electric People photos taken at the festival by Andreea Lupescu and Andreea Retinschi, the guests of Transilvania Bank at Electric Castle.

● Hangar by BT experience – a new scene at Electric Castle

The Hangar by BT stage is dedicated to quality live music, Romanian and international, with different styles. Here they will perform: Corina Chiriac, Mirabela Dauer, Fanfare Ciocarlia, Suie Paparude, Subcarpati etc.

● BT Cashless experience: frid festival bracelet or bracelet & BT watch contactless

Participants will be able to pay at Electric Castle with the RFID festival bracelet, which must be charged with the desired amount to be spent at the event, either online, from the Electric Castle application or at the dedicated stands, at the festival. Transilvania Bank's customers can also pay with the BT contactless watch or bracelet, each of which replaces the bank card when shopping.

  • Bánffy Castle – residential complex, miliary hospital, CAP, historical monument

The story of Bánffy Castle began in 1437, as a resident of one of the noble families in Transylvania, with an architecture inspired by the parks of Versailles and Schönbrunn. Over the years, family members have made changes to the location, in terms of structure and style. The last owner of the castle, before the communist period, was Miklós Bánffy, Count of Losoncz, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary. In 1944 the castle was taken over by the Germans and transformed into a miliary hospital, and in 1950 the place became an agricultural cooperative, warehouse and pasture. In 1990 the castle was declared a historical monument. In 2009, Countess Bánffy Katalin, the owner of the castle, concluded a 49-year cessional contract with the Transylvania Trust Foundation for reconditioning and transforming, in time, into a cultural center.

Bánffy Castle is now one of the most unconventional places where a festival is organized and is part of the brand and authenticity of Electric Castle.
