Bank and fintech accounts in one app, NEO from BT

Banca Transilvania is launching a multi-banking facility in the NEO app, NEO Control, through which customers can consult details of their personal accounts opened with fintechs or banks operating in Romania, such as Revolut, ING, BCR and Unicredit.

BT uses the opportunities provided by Open Banking which, by integrating new players into its IT ecosystem, allows the launch of new products and services. With NEO Control, Banca Transilvania marks a first in Romania, being a multi-banking service, based on interconnection using the BT Open Banking platform.

"People need fast, personalised, accessible, less formal and cheaper services, and the NEO Control facility is one of them. Open Banking has paved the way for a new way of banking, based on interconnection, and this suits us very well: since 2018, since we have had the platform, we like to experiment, to be pioneers. We collaborate with fintechs and combine their agility with BT's know-how and large customer base" - says Mariana Chindris, Executive Director - Chief Technology Officer, Banca Transilvania.

NEO is Banca Transilvania's new Mobile Banking and Internet Banking platform, where it is constantly launching new facilities. By the options offered, it is comparable to fintech applications and is suitable for those who are passionate about new, early adopters.

Convenience through NEO Control

• Customers can add to NEO accounts opened at other banks or fintechs operating in Romania. The first ones that can be integrated are BCR, ING, UniCredit and Revolut, and their number will increase in the coming period.
• Through NEO Control, BT customers can view information about accounts and transactions.
• The NEO Control facility was developed by Banca Transilvania together with FINQware, a Romanian fintech that offers the data aggregation solution.

Today's launch comes after Banca Transilvania announced last months two other facilities, NEOcont for individuals and NEOcont for entrepreneurs, through which those who want to work with Banca Transilvania can open an account 100% online, without any trip to the bank.
