#Story: UNTOLD, chapter by chapter

Soon we move on to chapter 4 of UNTOLD, a story of the Realm of Night and Magic, protected by the Millennial Magician. As a concept, UNTOLD is the untold story of Transylvania, but in which - for four years now, with each new edition of untold festival - we meet new characters and fairy tale symbols, which lead us to the world of the fight of good against evil, on the magical realm called UNTOLD, which includes 230,000 sqm, in the center of Cluj.

Every summer, in Cluj there are 4 days and 4 fairytale nights, in which the city transforms:the central park becomes The Forest, somes becomes The River, Unirii Square turns into The Citadel, the stadium becomes The Arena or, more recently, The Dragon's Nest or The Wolf's Nest. The scenes also have fairytale names: The Forest(by Banca Transilvania J),Alchemy, Daydreaming, Earth Spirit, Time. The characters and fairy tale elements can be found everywhere, in decorations, in the scenography of the shows, in the entire visual communication of the festival.

UNTOLD means concerts, hundreds of artists, street food, experiences. The brands that support the festival are increasingly coming up with interactive campaigns, based on interaction with participants. More and more people are entering the story: last year, in order to live live chapter 3 of the story, at UNTOLD there were over 330,000 participants. Banca Transilvania is, this year too, a genuine "untolder", being the official bank of the festival-phenomenon.

Let's go back to the "once upon a time" stage, when the festival organizers announced the beginning of untold story, four years ago: Transylvania can currently be considered the most successful brand of Romania and, by associating with the festival, we want to build on a long term the UNTOLD Universe - the perfect combination between the mythology of the night and the magic of Transylvania. The strength of the festival will come precisely from the history of the region. The central character, who connects the two worlds, is the Magician. There will be other characters, easy to understand for people who are not from Romania, characters present at the festival in different forms, in a manner that combines the classical elements of the stories with those of our times. We used our cultural baggage, fairy tales and urban legends to bring to the fore more characters from the fantasy world.

Chapter I: The Three-Headed Dragon

Untold story began with the Three-Headed Dragon as a central character, in the friendly version of J. Together with other Romanian characters - Greuceanu, Praslea cel Voinic and Ileana Cosanzeana - "they took possession" of the city and quickly befriended the festival-goers, who decided from then on to pass, after a year, chapter II of the story.

Chapter II: The Magician

UNTOLD continued with another central character, the Magician, the only one who can travel through time and who can make the connection between the mythology of the night and the magic of Transylvania, between the fantastic and the real world. Besides the supernatural force, it has at hand symbols such as: mirror - portal that draws the border between worlds; the moon – which illuminates everything that is unseen and the harp – which can awaken to life anything through its music.

Chapter III: The Dragon

A new chapter, a new character: The Magician brought Dragon into the story at a time when the balance between good and evil was more tilted on the side of evil, and a dark force had taken over Earth. Because he wanted to help people, the Magician met the Dragon – protector on an August night, in the Hoia – Baciu forest, in the heart of Transylvania. The dragon, endowed with the knowledge of all things seen and unseen, gives him 4 stones with magical powers, Love, Hope, Courage and Trust, the symbol of the qualities that each of us has. Through the magical power of the gift, the knights of the time unleashed the force of Good all over the Earth, defeating Evil. After thousands of years, in the 4 untold magical nights, festival-goers had the opportunity to rediscover the power of the Dragon's stones.

Chapter 4: Wolf Spirit

In 2018, we reached chapter 4 of the story, so that, on August 2nd – 5.c th, we have the opportunity to meet with the Warrior King and the Priestess of Wisdom. He - protector of untold land and more powerful than any other being on Earth, and she - with the gift of foreplaying the future and preventing evil from making its presence. Their spiritual animal is the wolf and, therefore, they can invoke the Spirit of the Wolf. The two lead an army of warrior wolves that, together, will protect the fantastic untold realm, along with the dragon, in the coming days.
