The BT table card, the digital version of the printed meal vouchers, can be enrolled in the BT Pay wallet application. It can be used, depending on accessing the application through Android or iOS, to pay by phone for food purchases and consumption at the restaurant in the bank's network of partners, respectively to check the amounts on the card and the transactions made with it.
The launch of this option, for the first time in Romania, is another step taken by Banca Transilvania in the digital direction, this time for the clients in large numbers who receive the salary at BT.
The BT Pay application can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store or App Store, on android and iOS smartphones and involves adding BT cards in digital format, such as the meal card.
BT Pay, new shopping experiences
- The main features of BT Pay are the following: Shopping and Transferring money with the phone, Share the cost, Request money from several people and Send money to multiple contacts from the phone.
- For the BT table card enrolled in the application, given its specificity, some of the BT Pay functionalities are valid: from iOS customers can view the balance and history of transactions made with them, and from Android they can also make payments with the phone in the network of partners of the bank, which can be consulted here.
- BT is the first bank in Romania that offers the possibility to pay contactless, by phone, with the help of BT Pay.
- The application is downloaded, on average, 1,000 times / day, since its launch in January this year.
- It is part of the BT Pay Collection, which includes, besides the application, the sticker, the watch and the contactless bracelet.
The BT meal card took the place of the classic meal vouchers
- This product, launched by BT this year, is a contactless Visa card, which can be obtained exclusively through the employer if it is among the institutions or companies in Romania that offer employees meal vouchers / meal vouchers as an extra-salary benefit.
- It gives flexibility to pay, regardless of whether its value is lower or higher than that of a classic meal ticket.
- It is rechargeable: the employer supplies monthly the employees' meal cards with the amount equivalent to the meal vouchers. The money on the Table Card – physical or from BT Pay – cannot be withdrawn or transferred.
- For individual clients who have a BT Meal Card, the fee for issuing/reissuing, administering and paying is zero.
- 24h/24 support: 0800 80 CARD (2273); 0264.594.337.
