Banca Transilvania increases interest rate to 7% for 36-month deposits in lei

Banca Transilvania increases again the interest rate on savings products in lei and currency for individuals and companies. With increases of up to 2%, the bank wants to support the financial security of Romanians by increasing interest rates. The highest interest rates offered by BT are on 1-year, 2-year and 3-year deposits. In April this year, the bank also increased interest rates on savings products in lei for individuals and legal entities.
New interest rates on deposits in lei
For individuals:
- 1 month deposit: 4.75% (+0.75%)
- 3-month deposit: 5% (+0.65%)
- 6-month deposit: 5.50% (+1%)
- 12-month deposit: 6% (+1.25%)
- 24-month deposit: 6.75% (+1.9%)
- 36-month deposit: 7% (+2%)
BT has also changed the annual interest rate on the KidCONT savings account, which now has an interest rate of 5% for 12 months, after an increase of 0.75%.
For legal entities:
- 1 month deposit: 4.75% (+0.75%)
- 3-month deposit: 5% (+0.65%)
- 6-month deposit: 5.50% (+1.00%)
- 12-month deposit: 6% (+1.25%)
- 24-month deposit: 6.75% (+1.90%)
- 36-month deposit: 7% (+2%)
