BT's performance in the card segment in 2015 earned him the title of "Bank of the Year" for the third consecutive year at the NOCASH Gala. Banca Transilvania was represented at the event by Oana Ilas, Director of the Retail Products Development and Management Department, and the award was received for the results obtained by BT last year:

• The largest balance on cards on the market: 2.5 million, with an increase of 200,000 cards in 2015
• Most debit cards issued: almost 400,000 Visa Electron BT cards
• The best degree of use of cards: 95.8 million transactions (without balance query) and volumes of 34 billion lei; Currently, one in five transactions made on cards issued in Romania is generated by a Banca Transilvania card.
• The most used card for payments at merchants - Visa Electron BT, with a number of over 29.4 million commercial transactions and a volume of over 3 billion lei in 2015

During the same event, BT received three other important awards, namely:

• "The best-selling debit card" – The Eletron Visa from BT
• "Shopping Card of the Year" – BT's Visa Electron
• "Premiere of the Year" – BT & Wester Union – for transferring money to ATMs on any MasterCard or Maestro card issued in Romania

NOCASH Gala has reached its fifteenth edition and is the most important annual event in the electronic payments industry.
