Banca Transilvania became the largest bank in South-Eastern Europe

BT is the largest bank in Southeast Europe by assets and profit for 2018, according to the Top 100 Commercial Banks in Southeast Europe, made and published by SeeNews. Banca Transilvania climbed to the first position on the 3rd place, according to the same ranking, made during 2017 vs. 2016.
Banca Transilvania, at the end of 2018 compared to the end of 2017:
- BT net profit: 1,219.39 million lei;
- Bank's assets: EUR 15.9 billion, +25%;
- Net loans: +22%;
- Deposits of bank's clients: +27%.
Last year also meant for Banca Transilvania the continuation of responsible organic growth, massive investments in the digital customer experience, the integration of Bancpost and the start of the implementation of its own business model at Victoriabank, in the Republic of Moldova.
According to See-News, the total net profit of the top 100 banks in the region increased in 2018 to 4.354 billion euros, +24% compared to the total net profit of those who entered last year's ranking.
The top 100 Commercial Banks in South-Eastern Europe include 11 markets in the EEA, including: Albania, Bosnia - Herzegovina, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Moldova, Slovenia, Serbia etc.
