Invited to the ZF show, What do you do with your money?, Dan Dascăl, CEO of BT Asset Management, talked about how young people can build a recurring investment plan and what aspects they should consider when choosing investment funds:
- At 20, you can choose a more dynamic investment fund, with exposure to stocks, for example. I don't think a 20-year-old has enough money to contribute initially to have a very large asset.
- The good thing about investment funds is that the tickets you need for investment can be very small. You can start an investment with 200 lei, 50 lei, but also with 1,000 lei or 10,000 lei.
- It is important to make a recurring investment plan every month. If possible, it is a good idea to set the recurrence on payday to ensure that you contribute consistently. The amount does not have to be very large, around 5-10% of your income budget.
- In three to five years, the 500-1,000 lei invested monthly will already amount to a small fortune for a 20-year-old. It could be an asset worth tens of thousands of lei.
