BT in Top Social Brands
We are, again this year, in Top Social Brands - a ranking compiled and published by BIZ magazine. The top follows the evolution of Romanian brands in social media, what they have been doing for a year, how they are performing and what new ideas they have come up with to promote themselves online. This year we are proud of 4th place, 3 positions higher than the previous year.
In the analysis of the brands, social media promotion was evaluated: blog, social media pages and campaigns run there, support of social media events, customer support through social media and support of social media campaigns on TV or other traditional media.
BT social media story
BT's social media story began in 2009 with the Facebook profile. Now we're everywhere: blog, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube, podcasts and occasionally - Tik Tok, not as a content creator, but rather as an advertiser. Moreover, BT still has the largest community of followers compared to other banks in Romania: over 600,000 followers on Facebook and 130,000 followers on Instagram.
If in 2016 we were ranked 27th in the Top Social Brands, since 2017 we are in the top 10, along with other big brands in Romania.
Results and ideas (April 2020 - April 2021) that have kept us in this top:
- We collaborate with bloggers & videobloggers, but what really makes us special is the BT Blog itself. Here, besides the "how to" articles and #BankingPeople, last year we also had an initiative that was heavily promoted online -#BuyFromYourself.
- Celebrity Campaigns - Simona Halep at Winners Open, the event that brought to Cluj the greatest tennis players in Romania. Our main activation was a takeover on Instagram BT with Simona Halep. She recounted from the locker room and on the court, the tournament experience on the BT page.
- On the occasion ofSimone Halep's birthday, and because she was participating in Roland Garros, BT sent her a birthday message in Paris, on behalf of all Romanians, as a sign of appreciation for the fact that she is one of the symbols of Romania we are proud of. Happy Birthdayin English and French, appeared on 430 screens in Paris, as well as in the French online press.
- INNA's Dance Queen House - I took part in a different, cool project with INNA. For 3 weeks, the singer composed music with different artists in a house near Bucharest. We had product placements in her vlogs, for example - BT Pay.
- Endorsement campaigns to promote BT Pay, the first bank wallet in Romania.
- Romanian National Day Campaign with Simona Halep - on the occasion of the National Day, we kicked off an inspirational campaign, together with Simona Halep, BT's greatest ambassador. On December 1st, we broadcast the first documentary about Simona Halepin which we managed to capture the mindset and motivations of a hero of our generation.
- Real time marketing.
- We communicated, including on social media, our online bank shopping campaigns, and collaborated with several influencers and mini-influencers to spread the word about our #GoodVibesOnly and #SummerVibes offers.
For us, social media is one of the places where we feel very comfortable, and that's what we call #humanbanking. 🥰
