Three companies from Romania, partnership for innovation: Banca Transilvania, UiPath and Druid

BT, the first domestic company to use integrated automation technologies and artificial intelligence

Banca Transilvania is taking another step towards digitization, this time for its team, by using integrated UiPath (RPA - Robotic Process Automation) and Druid (enterprise chatbots) platforms. Over 7,000 BT employees will be able to interact naturally with artificial intelligence, through guided or natural conversations, using NLP (Natural Language Processing), thus finding support in everyday activity.

As a result of the collaboration with UiPath, the global leader in RPA and Druid, Banca Transilvania has in its team, within the Human Resources Department, a robot that helps employees with information through chat. BT wants to use the advantages of artificial intelligence including for its team, after launching, for the first time in the communication of banks in Romania, two chatbots to provide online information to its individual customers and companies, Livia and Raul.

Collaboration with UiPath and Druid: increasing efficiency and employee satisfaction

In collaboration with UiPath, Banca Transilvania has automated so far, starting with June 2017, several processes in different business areas, such as: accounting, audit, compliance, call center, human resources, etc. "In the case of one of the first automated processes using the UiPath platform, we managed to reduce the average execution time from 10 minutes (with human user) - to 12 seconds (with robot), for an activity that is executed about 500 times a day by colleagues. Starting from an automated HR process, we are now developing chatbots that facilitate collaboration between employees and robots". -declare Gabriel Mocan, Director of Digital Technology and Innovation Department, Banca Transilvania.

From the need to interact directly with robots was born the collaboration with Druid, a company specialized in the construction of chatbots. The implementation of UiPath's RPA platform within BT and its interfacing with chatbots developed by Druid contributes significantly to increasing efficiency, but also employee satisfaction. Banca Transilvania aims to increase the robot team in the future at the level of several departments.
