For the safety of customers' money. Importantly, in the context of a malware campaign reported by the authorities

For the safety of your money, in view of the SRI's warning about a malware campaign targeting the theft of bank credentials from mobile phones and using the COVID-19 Secret Details message to attract attention (details here), our recommendations are as follows:

do not access links within unsolicited emails or emails sent by strangers, especially those that appear to be sent by your bank;
do not access/download attached files, received via email, unsolicited or received from unknown persons, especially those apparently sent by the bank;
do not install mobile applications from unknown sources, other than official stores and not used by a larger number of users;
when accessing BT24 Internet Banking, only from the bank's web address or by entering the address in the address bar of the browser, always using the keyboard and not a specific link;
check in the address bar of your browser if the existing address is that of the known Internet Banking service;
check that you have an encrypted connection (https) to the BT24 Internet Banking website and that the holder of the digital certificate is Banca Transilvania;
if during logging or trading messages appear asking you to wait for a certain time for various reasons, please close your session immediately and notify BT (0264 30 80 28 or contact@btrl.ro).
do not perform logins or test transactions, no matter who claims to do so. Banca Transilvania will never ask you to do so;
follow the best security practice of the PC where the login takes place: make sure that anti-virus and anti-spyware solutions are installed and regularly updated; do not save the login items in the Internet Banking application in the computer's memory; passwords should be of high complexity (contain small letters, capital letters, numbers and special characters) and be changed regularly.
